Boats to Cuttyhunk depart from the historic waterfront of New Bedford, Massachusetts. There are two options for boat travel. The Cuttyhunk Ferry holds 149 passengers and has a set schedule each day. The Cuttyhunk Water Taxi is a smaller, 18 passenger boat hired on an as-needed, first-come first-served basis. Neither boat operates after dark. Make your Ferry or Water Taxi reservations well in advance. Summer weekends fill up quickly. See below for contact information. We recommend you arrive at the Ferry or Water Taxi 45 minutes in advance of your departure boat. See below for information about travel to New Bedford by airplane, car, or bus, parking, and boats.
