Coffee

Coffee

Antigua is at the heart of Guatemala’s world-famous coffee scene. The region’s rich volcanic soil and high-altitude climate produce some of the best coffee in the world, known for its smooth, balanced flavor with hints of chocolate and spice. You can experience Antigua’s coffee culture firsthand by visiting a local coffee farm (finca) for a tour and tasting. Popular spots include Finca Filadelfia and De la Gente Coffee. If you prefer to enjoy a perfectly brewed cup in town, check out cafés like: Fat Cat Alegría 12 Onzas Santa Clara Coffee Artista de Café Yes, there’s a Starbucks in Antigua that is located inside a beautifully restored colonial building with a stunning courtyard, exposed stone walls, and views of the surrounding volcanoes, it’s a great spot to relax with a familiar favorite while soaking in Antigua’s atmosphere. However, we highly recommend exploring the local cafés and coffee farms for a truly authentic Guatemalan coffee experience!

Coffee Tours- Antigua

Antigua is famous for world-class coffee it produces! A coffee tour is a great way to explore the region’s lush landscapes while learning about the entire process, from bean to cup. Local farms offer guided tours where you can walk through the plantations, see how the beans are harvested and roasted, and, of course, enjoy a fresh cup of Antigua’s finest brew.

Lake Atitlan

Lake Atitlan

Considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, surrounded by volcanoes and charming Mayan villages, Lake Atitlán is a must-visit destination while in Guatemala. Take a boat ride to explore the unique lakeside towns, each with its own personality—San Juan for its art and textiles, San Pedro for its lively atmosphere, and Santiago for its deep-rooted traditions. Whether you're up for a scenic hike, kayaking on the calm waters, or just relaxing with a coffee while taking in the views, Lake Atitlán is the perfect spot for a memorable trip. The most common way to get there is by private shuttle, rental car, or shared tourist transport. Once you arrive at Panajachel, the main gateway to the lake, you can take a boat (lancha) to explore the different lakeside villages. We have partnered with Aerointer Travel agency for transportation. Come back for more details and discount information. Click on link for hotel recs!
