Nikki and Joe met on July 4th , 2008 at Smitty's Ice Cream in Falmouth after Joe and his friends watched the fireworks. Nikki was working behind the counter and Joe asked her for about 100 samples of chocolate chip. Ten years later, after many shared ice creams, Joe asked Nikki to marry him while picking out their Christmas tree.
