Abby and Lauryn had the pleasure of being raised together. Lauryn has always appreciated having a built in bestie to stay up until the wee hours of the night talking about all things celiac, doing nail art, and encouraging each other that to spend too much money. Lauryn will forever be thankful that Abby was able to be a part of her and Brian's engagement story!

Raelene and Brian met in college when they were put together in the same Welcome Week orientation group with several guys from Brian’s hall. They all used this connection to form a friend group that eventually started hanging out and watching movies together on the weekends. Rae and Brian bonded over their shared birthday, and every year in college they had the privilege to throw a big birthday party together! That bond has only gotten stronger as the years have gone on, and we are extremely excited she is able to be part of our big event!

Brittany and Lauryn were the first people they met at Loyola. They took the plunge and opted to be roommates freshman year. They spent the 4 years of college seeing dozens of musicals, running Supplies for Dreams, and seeing more bad movies than either of them can count. Lauryn is so thankful that Brittany was able to be a part of her and Brian's engagement story!
Catherine Maring

Catherine and Brian met in college as part of their welcome week group, but didn’t become friends until one of the people in Brian’s friend group reached out to her to come hang out with them. Because of their similar majors, they had several classes together, especially during their sophomore years, which caused Catherine to spend lots of time at Brian’s frat house so they could study together. This led to a tight bond that still exists to this day, despite currently living across the country from each other. We are so happy she is able to come spend our special day with us!

Lauryn has Mackenzie to thank for her and Brian's love story. She orchestrated the outing where Lauryn and Brian officially met for the first time. Mackenzie and Lauryn's favorite pastime is suggesting books that the other should read so they have someone to discuss with.

Alex and Brian lived in the same hallway together their freshman year, spent all of college hanging out with the friends they made during that year. Alex would often come over to Brian’s apartment their sophomore year to play board games. During the pandemic, they continued to hang out a lot and bond over the various games they like to play! We are extremely happy to be able to have him participate in our wedding day!

Amanda and Lauryn met in the trenches of the Steris clean benches. They were known for their Friday afternoon hangman games. Amanda is always the first person to show up to Lauryn and Brian's extremely hot kitchen for family dinner to help make sure dinner actually reaches the table.

Patrick and Lauryn had the privilege of growing up together, and Brian is extremely appreciative that Patrick and Lauryn’s family have been so welcoming of him. We thank him so much for the huge role he will play as we start our lives together!

As Brian's younger sister, Audrey and Lauryn have gotten to bond at many King family functions. They love recounting tales from their travels and searching for a good bottle of wine. Lauryn is so excited to get another sister!

Brandon and Brian met while working together at Steris and were close colleagues as Brian sterilized the media made by Brandon’s group in the lab. After Brian left, they began hanging out and Brian joined Brandon’s trivia group. Brian is so thankful for the value that Brandon’s friendship has brought to his life, and we are so excited to have him join us for our wedding!

You will probably hear Gabby and Lauryn coming before you see them. They have been known for their antics since day 1 at Steris. Whether it's a night out or just people watching, Gabby and Lauryn will be giggling the whole way through it.
Taco

Brian and Lauryn got Taco in March 2023, and they haven't had a dull moment since. Taco has a BIG personality that causes Brian and Lauryn to laugh on the daily. And, while he won't be at the actual big day, Taco is one of the most important things in their life.
