The Introduction!!!

FROM HER POV: David and I "met" on the last day of school, of our 10th grade year. We knew each other by name, but we had never spoke to one another. It was rumored David was going to a different school the next year. Which was no big deal to me, we werent friends and had never said a word to each other. He came into the multi-purpose room of our high school where me and my bestfriend, India, were hanging out. He came in to say bye and that he would see us later. They had been classmates and friends for years, so they wished each other a good summer and said goodbye. Me being me, I said "see you later? we have never even spoken to each other." David responded, "well give me your number, we will keep in touch". I responded "nope" and proceeded to walk out of the multi-purpose room and leave the school. Later on that night, I had gotten a text message from an unsaved number, Davids. I didnt know who it was and after a few exchanged text, he told me who he was and that my friend India had given him my number after I left the room earlier that day. David had gone to ATL for the summer to visit his dad, so our "friendship" started over the phone. When he came back home for the next following school year, we started to hang out more. He ended up asking me to be his girlfriend the second semester of our junior year; coincidently in March.....10 years later he asked me out for our second go around in March!!!!! FROM HIS POV: It was a calm day, especially to be the last day of school before summer began. School was out yet everyone hung out afterwards to catch up and take pictures. I remember joking outside with one of my friends, Aaron, as we discussed our goals and dreams moving forward without any real idea of what responsibilities consisted of. As we were walking and talking, we ended up running into two of our classmates, Danielle and India. Aaron and I were good friends with India but we hadn't met or had any interaction with Danielle although she had been in our class the whole year. After our run in, something stood out about Danielle that made me curious as to why we never said anything to each other until just then. I laughed to myself because I kind of felt like a jerk for never introducing myself. I let the idea of introducing myself and how to approach her play in my head for a minute before going back to talk to her. It wasn't a decision, but more like an impulsive action. After I introduced myself, I asked for her phone number....& she denied me lol. I shook it off and made a joke of it because truthfully, it was awkward being our first interaction. Ironically, the idea of wanting to get to know her became even stronger! I figured since India and her were such great friends, my next idea was to ask her for Danielles number. Being the good friend she was, India politely agreed to help me out! My thought process was, if Im able to get another opportunity to talk to her, I know I will be able to make her laugh. I just needed the opportunity and some wiggle room to get my foot in the door. Now, fast forward 15 years to present day and we've been laughing together every since!!
