Please arrive by 4:00pm. This will give you plenty of time to find a seat and enjoy the view of the gardens before we get started.
Everything for our wedding will be held outdoors on the grounds of the Salisbury House. We’ll start in the gardens for the ceremony, move just north of the gardens for cocktails, have dinner on the East Terrace, and end the night dancing in the courtyard. Since Iowa weather can be chilly in October, we suggest bringing a jacket or a wrap to stay warm.
We’d love to see you in your best dress. Since we’ll be moving around the gardens, terraces, and courtyards all evening, we suggest wearing shoes that are comfortable for walking on grass and stone paths.
We’re still working out the final details for a shuttle from the Surety Hotel and Hotel Fort Des Moines. We’ll update this page once we have those times set! You can also use a ride share like Uber or Lyft to get to and from the Salisbury House safely.
We can only host the guests listed on your invitation. If your invite says "and Guest," you’re welcome to bring a plus one.
We love all the children in our lives, but we’re only able to host our nieces and nephews at the wedding. We hope you enjoy a night off to celebrate with us.
