Come celebrate

When me & Chris met, it was not love at first sight. It was more like we knew our lives were going to change forever when we first met. How we met wasn’t anything romantic or special. We met on the job. I was coming in to get hired and he was stocking the freezers. We worked at an organic grocery store. Everyone kept telling me not to go after him because he was still married. I was still in a relationship at the time, so I wasn’t looking for anything at the time. We started working together and getting to know each other. One night when we went out with a group of people from the job, we started to click. Again we both weren’t looking for anything. Granted we were both in bad relationships. One thing led to another and next thing we know, we are in a relationship. Our relationship is one of the uncommon love stories though. I was the paper pusher to his divorce. He was the push I needed to get out of my bad relationship. He went to California for a year. I was still in Maryland taking care of everything. As in, packing up the house, taking care of our pets lizard (who has sadly passed on) and our tortoise, and helping finding a place to live out in California. We drove cross country from Maryland to California without killing each other. We broke up with each other and got back together. But the best part of it all was that I proposed to him and 2 days later, he said yes and it happened to be his birthday. Granted yes we are legally married, but we can’t wait to celebrate our wonderful moment with our friends and family members.
