FAQs

If you have any other questions that have not been listed here, please reach out to the bride or groom until further notice, and please keep checking back to this webpage for updates.
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 4:00 PM. Please plan to arrive up to an hour early. Anyone planning to camp with us overnight at the venue may arrive as early as 12:00 PM to set up their tent in advance. There will also be time to set up your tent after dinner. The reception starts at 5:30 PM and will run late, so if you are unable to make it by 4:00 PM for the ceremony due to work/weekday obligations, you are still more than welcome to show up fashionably late; please indicate that you will miss the ceremony when you RSVP.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

For our out-of-town guests, we recommend staying at the McMenamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove. There is a block of rooms being held in our name. Please reach out to the bride or groom for our room block code. There is free camping with on-site bathrooms and showers, as well as RV hook-ups on the venue grounds. Be sure to bring your own tents and bedding. (Come early to set up.)

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The menu is entirely gluten-free, and mostly dairy-free, with vegetarian options. If you have any additional food allergies or intolerances of which we should be aware, please reflect this with us on the RSVP and we will try to make accommodations.

Question

May I smoke or vape while on-site?

Answer

Smoking is allowed, but only in the designated smoking area.

Question

May I fish in that lake?

Answer

Yes! Please check their website for details. https://www.horningshideout.com/fishing

Question

If I camp over, what time do I need to be on the road?

Answer

Check out is 10:00 AM.

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Though there is a designated parking lot for our use, parking is limited. We encourage our guests to carpool if possible.

Question

May I bring my dog?

Answer

While we LOVE doggos, we don't love the extra responsibility. Please leave your dogs at home or find a sitter.

Question

I'm thinking about camping. Do you have a spare tent?

Answer

Contact Ian with any questions regarding camping, or if you need camping equipment.

Question

Do I need to RSVP if I'd like to camp at the venue?

Answer

No RSVPs required for camping, just specify when you RSVP for the wedding that you're planning on camping, and let Ian know so he can keep a head count. If you need any camping gear, ask Ian about that as well, otherwise, please provide your own tent/bedding/etc.
