We met while going to The National Block and Bridle Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hunter sat behind me on the bus ride to the convention. The whole ride we made jokes and talked together. My favorite memory was when Hunter looked at me, after listening to speakers most the day, and asked if I wanted to go to the aquarium. Hunter was and has always been a perfect gentleman. I knew that day that he was something special.
Hunter and I had became close friend and hangout almost every day. We had gone out on a couple dates and each time we had a wonderful time. After helping set up for a Block and Bridle event Hunter walked me to my car and asked me to go out with him. I thought he was joking because it was April Fool's Day. He reassured me it wasn't a joke and he was being serious. That day I made the best decisions of my life.
Hunter told me he had to meet some one at The Murray State Arboretum. Once we arrived Hunter said "lets go look around while we wait." It was cold and spitting rain, but we walked around and went to one of the pavilions to get out of the rain for a bit before walking back. Hunter faced me and took my hands. He told me he had been doing some thinking and he couldn’t imagine his life without me by his side. He then unzipped his jacket pocket and pulled out a ring box. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes, then we hear wahooing coming from an unknown location. He had got my best friend Stephanie to hide in the bushes and take photos. It was for sure the best day ever!!!
