It all started in January 2022, in the most unexpected place an online Disney group. Two strangers, miles apart, brought together by a shared love for Disney. She was at the University of Idaho, and I was at the University of Alabama. Different schools, different states, different lives but somehow, we found each other. What began as simple conversations quickly became something more. Night after night, we talked on the phone for hours laughing, sharing dreams, becoming best friends without even realizing how much we were beginning to mean to each other. For a whole year, that’s what we were just friends. Then came the moment that changed everything. On September 15th, 2022, we met in person for the very first time at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. Out of all the places in the world, we met in the most magical place on earth, and standing there together, it was. We both worked for Disney and spent our spare time making memories in the parks. Not long after, on January 22nd, 2023, we took the next step and started dating. What followed were two and a half years of growing together, building a life, and turning something that started online into something real, steady, and full of love. We went on many trips to concerts, beaches, and a cruise on Margaritaville at Sea. Then came another unforgettable chapter. On April 19th, 2025, during a Disney cruise, in the breathtaking beauty of Eleuthera Bahamas, at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, I asked the most important question of my life and she said yes. Since that moment, we’ve been living in the joy of forever, engaged and dreaming about everything still to come. From a Disney group chat to late-night calls… From best friends to partners… From a first meeting in a castle-filled park to a proposal by the ocean… Our story has always felt a little like magic. And the best part? It’s only just beginning.
