Water bladder backpack - because of the low humidity, our Floridian friends will be dehydrated and there are no water fountains on hikes. Prepare to drink 1 L of water per 4-5 miles of hiking. 3. Bear spray. This is a MUST. Most of the animals you will encounter in parks and roadways are accustomed to seeing tourists. However, your best bet if you encounter a not so friendly animal is bear spray that can spray from 20-30 ft away. You can also rent bear spray in the popular towns. 4. Snacks/Sandwiches for a mid-hike stop 5. Sunscreen

Yes! It is a necessity to travel to the wedding venue. Bozeman will have Uber and Lyft, but once you enter Gallatin Canyon your options for transportation are non-existent. You will 100% need a rental car if you plan to explore both Big Sky or the national parks if you decide to add that to your Montana trip.
We recommend a vacation rental through airbnb, vrbo or local vacation rental sites provided on our Travel page. You will certainly get more bang-for-your-buck by renting rather than a hotel stay. Hotels range from $250-600/nightly for a single hotel room meanwhile vacation rentals have a similar price range but offer an entire home or condo with amenities.
