we are married!

Dillon started a new job in Denver, CO at the same place Emma worked. After a little back and forth, Dillon asked what he should get his niece for Christmas. She responded, “take her to Disney World.” As luck would have it, Dillon was supposed to go the next month to run a marathon but didn’t have anyone to go with him. On somewhat of a whim, and using the excuse of “I have an annual pass and he just had a background check,” Emma agreed to go with and the rest is history!

Dillon planned a trip to Ouray, CO for an ice climbing festival. Since Emma has little to no interest in ice climbing, she wasn’t suspicious that this trip would include a proposal. On the drive to Ouray, Dillon (changing plans at the last minute) asked if we should stop at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Once Dillon set up a GoPro, Emma knew he was about to ask. It was private and perfect! We had a fun night celebrating in Ouray and then (mostly) enjoyed the rest of the ice climbing festival (more stories for another day).

We got married at one of our favorite places - Disney - with our parents and siblings. Emma’s dad officiated and we had a great time celebrating all weekend long!
