Well it all started back in high school, I was the star quarterback and she was the head cheerleader.....Oh wait, that wasn't us! My bad, Bria shouldn't have let me write this. But on a serious note, our love has been culminating for years. Since before our birth's this union has been predestined. "For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love.." Ephesians 1:5 NIV. Our older sisters, Ashley and Sheena have been best friends since the playground, so Bria and I were always around each other. We actually dated for about a month or so when she was in 8th grade and I was in 9th grade. In which case SOMEONE got upset because they thought the other didn't get them anything for Valentines Day, so the other one was forced to eat her candy and give her bear back to his sister! But I won't say any names. So after we broke up we stayed friends throughout high school and into adulthood. We lived our own lives, having our own experiences, relationships, etc. but we would always check-in with each other. Fast-forward to fall of 2018, we met for coffee to debate about a bible scripture. After going back in forth, note for note, and scripture for scripture... we agreed to disagree. It's funny, when we met that morning we both felt something for one another. I almost told her I loved her that day and she told me months later that she noticed something different about me. I had the waves going, smelling good, you know! However both of us were unsure of how the other felt so it wasn't until July 31st, 2019 that I gathered the courage to go for it and say "Hey! I like you, do something about it!" (This is Bria y'all, he did NOT say that!) From that point on we dated seriously with marriage in mind and here we are today, engaged! God is so good! So that's our story in a nutshell. With the wedding just around the corner, we are excited and delighted to be joining together in holy matrimony. #BecomingButler
