We feel like this is a given! San Diego is a top rated zoo and does not disappoint! If you are making a vacation out of the trip, the zoo is a must.
Old Town San Diego is a great area to visit - full of history, shopping and tasty Mexican food. It is a very walkable area as well.
For you history buffs, USS Midway is right in downtown San Diego.
Balboa Park is a 'must go' according to Sarah. It is a 1,200-acres of park to sight see. There are many museums within the park and some are free of charge. Additionally, there are beautiful gardens to walk around or hang out by the various fountains.
Seaport Village is a waterfront shopping and dining complex adjacent to San Diego Bay in downtown San Diego. The complex houses more than 70 shops, galleries, and eateries on 90,000 square feet of waterfront property.
There are many breweries to go to in San Diego but Stone Brewing is probably one of the top well-known breweries across the U.S. There are few tap rooms you can go to but we recommend the world bistro + gardens. Beautiful place to sit and enjoy a nice IPA at.
