FAQs

While the events are Pakistani, we are open to any attire (Eastern or Western) as long as it follows the general theme for each event. The nikkah is a simple and intimate affair where more modest dressing is appropriate. Shalwar kameez, wide pants, and long dresses are welcome. The mehendi is a vibrant and colorful event - feel free to go all out with saris, lehengas, dresses, loads of jewelry, and all the colors you can think of. Question

How do I get there?

Answer

The wedding is at Bareeha's family home in Princeton, New Jersey. If you're not living or staying in Jersey, plan to drive or commute in via train. Feel free to reach out with any questions about which route is easiest to take.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

The neighborhood requires that all guests park on only one side of the street. We recommend carpooling to maximize parking space and minimize emissions :)

Question

What will I eat?

Answer

The menu is Pakistani and fully halal, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions that we need to keep in mind.

Question

Will I be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be fully indoors with an optional outdoor section, weather permitting. We’ll have blankets for those of you who are more outdoorsy (or more introverted).

Question

Can I wear shoes in the house?

Answer

We are a no-shoes-in-the-house kind of family. Prepare for bare feet.
