Our wedding will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, with the ceremony beginning at 4:00 PM.
The wedding will be held in Playa del Coco, Costa Rica, at the beautiful Ladera del Mar Welcome Center
Please fly into Liberia, Costa Rica (Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport – LIR). It’s the closest airport and about a 30-minute drive to Playa del Coco.
Transportation details will be shared closer to the wedding date. We’ll provide guidance on airport transfers and wedding-day transportation options.
The dress code is tropical elegant.
Most of the action will be outdoors, so please plan accordingly for warm weather and ocean breezes. There will also be indoor spaces available to relax and cool down throughout the evening.
June is warm and tropical in Costa Rica. Expect daytime temperatures in the 80s°F (high 20s°C) and cooler evenings. There may be brief rain showers—welcome to the tropics!
Yes! Children are absolutely welcome, and we’re excited to celebrate with your entire family. Please include all attending children when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
Playa del Coco offers a wide range of hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals to fit different budgets and preferences. In addition to Playa del Coco, nearby areas such as Playa Hermosa, Playa Ocotal, Playa Panamá, and Playa Matapalo are also great options and are just a short drive away.
Yes, a valid passport is required to travel to Costa Rica. U.S. citizens do not need a visa or any additional documents beyond a passport for short tourist stays. Please make sure your passport is valid for the duration of your trip.
The local currency is the Costa Rican colón, but debit cards and credit cards are widely accepted throughout Costa Rica, including hotels, restaurants, and shops. All U.S. bank debit cards are accepted, and you can withdraw colones directly from ATM machines using your debit card, which are readily available in and around Playa del Coco.

Not necessarily! Playa del Coco and the surrounding areas are easy to get around with taxis, shuttles, and transportation services. That said, renting a car can be a fun and convenient option if you want to explore nearby beaches, restaurants, and day trips on your own schedule. We recommend Budget and Alamo. We use our travel credit card to cover international rental car insurance, so we don’t have to purchase extra coverage at the counter. We recommend checking your credit card benefits ahead of time to see if you have this coverage too—it can save money and make the process super easy.
