The City of Covington, founded in 1813, is a charming Southern community nestled among three rivers. An eclectic mix of boutiques, art galleries, specialty shops, restaurants, and schools (including Morgan's Alma Mater) line the downtown streets. Downtown Covington holds a special place in our hearts, especially Morgan's. Check out the Southern Hotel, Coffee Rani for a great salad or sandwich (Morgan's Favorite), Meribo for pizza, New Orleans Food and Spirits for New Orleans cuisine, Haven Coffee and Cocktails, Bon Sake for sushi, Abita Roasting for coffee and lunch, Bears for the best poboy, Columbia Street Tap Room for drinks and dancing, Butter Krisp Diner for the best donuts, and so many more!
For our beer enthusiast, check our Abita Brewery's tap room. Abita Brewery offers guided and self-guided tours where you can learn about the brewing process, beer and history. You can book a tour in advance or go on a whim! Although closed toe shoes are required to tour the brewery. The guided tours cost $10 and include four 4-oz tastings.
