Jerry and Barbara story

Barbara and Jerry met and have known each other since 1996 while working at Walmart together. Barbara was married then and Jerry was single, living at home with his Mom, Dad and brother Billy. But some thing told them both that God had other plans for them in the back of their minds and it would be greater and richer than they could have ever imagined. The reason why they held A fondness for each other when they first met back in 1996 at Walmart. God told Barbara that He would bring that man of God to her, that puts God first in a relationship, the way it’s supposed to be and they would be richly blessed. Not as rich as in the world rich, but rich in relationship with each other and God in the middle. God also told Jerry, his Mom especially, and other people told him the same thing Later when Barbara became single again, she talk to Jerry at Walmart a lot and asked if he was single several times. But he was pretty shy and didn’t tell her that he like her very much. And his dad was sick, the timing wasn’t right or other things in life came up. They dated other people but they weren’t right for them. The timing wasn’t right at the moment. You see, God had plans for Barbara and Jerry. Then one day in 2021, they started talking again on Facebook. Little did they know that God had planned this all along and God wanted them to be friends first, and build their relationship on a solid foundation. While dating, Jerry started building a new deck and porch on to Barbara‘s house. So in two ways, Physically building and growing their love together with God, they built their relationship and a new deck porch on a solid foundation together. And the rest is yet to come in their new beginnings, marriage and happiness together for the rest of their lives with God always by their side.

Proposal.

Jerry’s Proposal to Barbara.

In February 2022, we traveled to Benton, Bryant, Little Rock Arkansas to visit a church in Benton Arkansas called Household of Faith Church, Bob Joyce, Hot Springs Arkansas, an Alabama concert in Little Rock, & especially Graceland in Memphis Tennessee. While in Arkansas, we also went to Memphis Tennessee to go to Graceland to see Elvis Presley‘s Graceland. The first night The Alabama concert was canceled because of Covid. So we decided to go out to dinner, then go back to the hotel unpack, and relax. This was my third time flying in an airplane & Jerry’s second time flying in an airplane, but our first time flying long distance. We tried going to several restaurants but they were packed. So we went to a Cracker Barrel restaurant instead, ate & shopped for Knick knacks. After dinner, Jerry got down on one knee & proposed & asked me to marry him. And of course the answer right away was yes, of course I will marry you. We both cried & gave each other hugs & kisses. Jerry is so very sentimental, I love it. We had the waiter take pictures in front of the big fireplace. The next day, we went & toured William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum, just for something to do. We tried to find other museums and other venues open, but nothing was open. We went to find the Household Of Faith Bob Joyce Church, so we could go in the morning. That evening, we also went to the Cracker Barrel for dinner again & Jerry proposed again for the second time. Lol. It was so memorable, sweet and awesome. The next day, Sunday, we attended Household of faith church in Benton Arkansas. It was the day before Valentine’s Day & the sermon was about Gods love & what it really means. Then they invited all new guests to their potluck Valentine’s Day dinner. Afterwords, Pastor Bob Joyce‘s son, Matt (an Elvis impersonator) sang to karaoke to Elvis songs all day long until 4:30pm. We spent from 9 AM until 4:30 PM at the church. The people were so very friendly & accommodating & it felt like home. BOB JOYCE is very gifted with his knowledge & Spirit in God. We were very fortunate to be able to research the church before we went, that it was actually there at& we got to meet BOB JOYCE (Elvis) Lol. That evening we went to Hot Springs Arkansas & got to see Al Capone‘s city, hotel& hang out. We got to tour the city in a horse and buggy. The city is blown out with dynamite & you can’t see it until you come up on it. In actuality it was because Al Capone, Bugsy Siegel & others gangsters in the day, used Hot Springs Arkansas as a hideout. The next day we went to Memphis Tennessee to see Graceland & toured the mansion, all of the exhibits, the cars, airplanes, records & history of Elvis, & the novelty shops. We didn’t get to spend as long as we wanted at Graceland, because we got a late start & forgot to check out & then check back into the hotel for an extra day because we decided to stay longer. We had to go back halfway to Memphis back to Bryant & check out & check in again. We had to reschedule The Graceland Tours & started late. Things closed at 5pm, so we didn’t get to spend as much time there. Graceland & Elvis is Jerry & Barbara’s favorite person in the world and Jerry & I are avid fan of Elvis. Sadly the next day we had to fly back home, but our hearts stayed in Benton, Bryant, Little Rock, Hot Springs, & Memphis. We would like to move there someday. Since we didn’t get to spend as much time in Graceland as we wanted. We would like to go back for our honeymoon & tour it again & go to Hot Springs again. That is our ultimate dream for our honeymoon
