FAQs

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are mainly asking for contributions to our honeymoon fund. There is a link under the Registry tab above and we will have a place for checks and cash at the wedding. We also have some "big ticket" items through Target and Amazon, also linked on the Registry page. If you'd rather purchase an equivalent item elsewhere to get a better price/quality, that is totally fine with us.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The wedding party has been asked to dress in cocktail or black tie attire. While we encourage you match that formality, isn't necessary! We want folks to be happy and comfortable.

Question

I get easily overwhelmed in large groups. Is there somewhere I can take a break during the wedding?

Answer

Yep, we got you! We'll set up a quiet room in the back of the first floor, away from the main dining and dancing area. We plan to provide coloring pages, origami, and some other quiet activities in this room. There is also a large covered porch overlooking the back lawn, and you are welcome to walk around the grounds.

Question

Is there assigned seating for the reception?

Answer

Yes, we'll have assigned seating posted during the reception. That being said, we hope everyone the chance to wander and mingle to catch up with old friends, meet new people, and chat with different tablemates throughout the evening.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We reserved blocks at the Hampton Inn in Lenox. Visit the "travel" tab for a link to our block and some other local recommendations.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, Ventfort Hall has its own parking lot. Depending on how many people are able to attend, we may look into transportation from the hotel(s) to avoid overcrowding the venue lot. If you're local and able to carpool, we recommend doing so!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are planning our menu around as many dietary restrictions as possible (especially vegan, dairy free, Kosher, gluten free, nut free). Please let us know if you have any concerns and we will do our best to accommodate!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, as long as they are closely supervised or old enough to follow the venue rules on their own. If your kiddos are coming along we will need to know as soon as possible so we can adjust our head counts for seating and catering.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

For the wedding party and immediate family there will be a rehearsal dinner the evening before and an optional group breakfast the morning of the wedding. We hope to plan a group brunch for anyone who is able to come the morning after the wedding. Other than that, if you are visiting from out of town please reach out if you'd like to meet up for a meal, a hike, a game night, or just a big hug and catch-up session!

Question

My question isn't on here. What do?

Answer

Please reach out to Cassie or Wendy Kipp if you have any concerns that haven't been addressed here.
