What should I wear to the events?

Answer

Our main goal is for everyone to be comfortable, happy, and well-fed, so wear whatever you feel best in! Indian, American, or a blend of both...either way, we'll just be excited to see you there! If you need some additional guidance, we listed some examples of appropriate American and Indian options for each event. For the wedding itself, we ask that you avoid wearing black, white and red, but all other colors are okay! For all the other events, wear whatever color you like!

Is it okay for me to wear Indian outfits, even though I am not Indian?

Answer

Yes! When we say wear whatever you like, we sincerely mean it. If you would like to use our wedding as an opportunity to live out your Bollywood fantasy, we fully support it...though we will be expecting the dance moves, too. We have included a list of a few websites where you can buy or rent outfits that offer delivery in the US, but please be aware that there might be additional shipping costs and tariffs. Etsy has tons of affordable options, as well! Just be sure to double check that you are buying a fully stitched outfit, and not just the fabric. We also highly recommend researching how to take proper measurements for the outfit type you are purchasing to ensure that you are getting the right fit. If you do need to get it tailored, try to find someone familiar with Indian outfits. How should I get to the venues?

Answer

Due to where the venues are located, we suggest having a car for the weekend. There is free parking available at all the venues, and shuttle service from the hotel blocks for the reception. Lyft and Uber might also be options from the hotels to the Farmhouse, but not as realistic for travel between other events. If you are flying in for our wedding (thank you!), the closest airport is Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Both John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) are also solid options, but would require travelling through Manhattan into New Jersey.

Am I allowed to take photos during the events?

Answer

For the wedding, you can take photos if inspiration strikes, but please be discreet and respectful. Keep your phones on silent, avoid using flash, stay in your seat, and be mindful about giving the professional photographers the space they need to get the perfect shots! When it comes to the garba and reception, we would love for you to capture all of the fun in photos and videos! We'll have a website set up where guests can share their shots and see others' and are so excited to see our weekend through your eyes! :)

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we do love your little monsters, to give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children (unless specified on your invitation). Thank you!

You will be able to RSVP through the page on this website by entering your first and last name when prompted! We really hope you can make it to our special day!
