We played tennis on our first date. Of course, Karina kicked Ethan's ass, 6-4. Ethan loved Karina's playful personality strumming the racket like a guitar inbetween points and Karina was intrigued with Ethan's witty comebacks.

We moved in together in the Fall of 2019. Ethan's chocolate lab - Cornelius A.K.A Corn - and Karina's cat - Albus - tolerated each other almost immediately. Many evenings have been spent with Corn and Albus curled up on opposite ends of the couch while we watch our favorite trash shows, practice our dance moves, or do some art.

We were in Portland, OR for a week long vacation. We rented an airbnb close to the art district and spent our time hanging out at coffee shops and checking out the local thrift shops. On the day of the proposal we took a day trip to Tillamook and spent the car ride karaoking and laughing, one of our favorite things to do. We ended the evening playing pictionary on the iPad; a frequent vacation activity for us. We went back and forth drawing different images. When it was Ethan's turn, he proposed.
