After Chris and Allyson met at a friend's 21st birthday party in 2013, they would still not be together for another year. Then in the winter of 2014, Chris and Allyson decided the time was right and began to date. After many Pappasitos dinners, late-night coffee breaks at Agora, and wine and espresso nights at Bacchus, they decided this could be it. Many of their days spent together took place at the University of Houston where they both attended and in the company of good friends through UH's Greek life. As they both graduated, began working, and settled down, the two continued moving through life together through the highs and lows of being young adults, freshly thrown into the real world. After a few years of dating, the pair moved into their cozy apartment in the Galleria area with their three fur babies – Nala (dog) and "The Girls" Darla and Penny (cats). After a little decorating and a Clorox wipe or two, they finally felt at home. Then, on a chilly day in December of 2018 at Seasons 52 restaurant, assisted with the help of one sneaky maid of honor, Allyson said, "Yes!" and the two became engaged. Through laughs, tears, and the low light of candles accompanied by a ton of red rose petals, they celebrated the engagement at a private dinner with family and friends. From there, the planning took off. But with the introduction of COVID-19, the two had to move their original beloved Halloween wedding out another year and locked into a new date. Despite COVID and a few other setbacks, Chris and Allyson legally married in an intimate ceremony where it all began. Together, in early September of 2020, they said I do in front of the fountains on campus at UH and in the presence of family, a few friends, and the bronzed cougar statues. While married, they still excitedly look forward to celebrating the whirlwind that has been their engagement with everyone at their big wedding on October 30, 2021. Thank you for your support and we'll see you there. #IssaBigBannerEvent
