Our love story began back in 2010, when we were introduced through a mutual friend (Groomsman Frank). Over the next 6 years, some of which we weren’t particularly fond of each other, we became close friends and spent countless days hanging out together but always in a group. Our relationship had grown increasingly closer and we later found out we both had feelings for each other. We went on our first date to the Oakland Diner in January 2016. In March we went away for a weekend for the first time together. We went up to Watkins Glen, NY and had one of the most memorable trips sneaking over the gates to the park and looking at the spectacular views alone. For the rest of the school year, we spent almost every weekend together at Rowan. Some of our most fun times to date were at Rowan, including the house at 203 Ellis Street, Landmark and Kegglers. During that time, we found out we’d be upgrading to a family of three in the Fall. After graduation, we moved in together. Owen was born in September 2016 and has brought us the biggest joy of our lives. We have been able to develop into our own little family since that time and made so many more memories on our trips to Florida and down the shore. On July 14, 2019, we spent the day in Warwick, NY doing some of Laura’s favorite things at the winery, street fair and dinner at Fratello’s. While we were at dinner, A friend went into our Air BNB (which turned out to be an apartment above an orthodontist’s office, that we still joke about) and setup a table with luminary bags to read “Will you marry me?”. We were able to capture the special moment on a GoPro camera. The rest is history!
The health of our loved ones is our number one priority. Below are some details on what we're doing, along with our venue, to keep our wedding as safe as possible. We appreciate everyones cooperation to make this a safe celebration! In order to limit the risk of exposure, we ask that our guests be cautious in the two weeks leading up to the wedding, and to keep the extra activities to a minimum. If at all possible, we would like our guests to get COVID tested 3-4 days prior to attending. We are requesting this to help keep everyone safe, especially those who might be more at risk. WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE AND CELEBRATE WITH EVERYONE! - Masks will be worn at your own comfort level - We will provide different color pins to use as a color coded system, so everyone is aware of each others comfort level. - All staff will be masked. They will also go through a health screening and temperature check prior to the event. - All food stations and bar drinks will be served by staff behind plexiglass, and pass around appetizers will be individually plated. - The wedding reception will be hosted in our venue’s large ballroom, which has ample room for guests to keep their distance, if they prefer. The ballroom is also equipped with a specialized ventilation system. - Tables will be spaced 6 ft apart, chairs will be spaced as far apart as possible, and families will be seated together. - Outdoor space is available throughout the event with fire-pits and heaters if needed.
