23201 W Hwy 50 From Salida, go approximately 20 minutes west on Hwy 50 towards Monarch ski and snowboard mountain. once you pass Monarch Lodge located in Garfield, you are getting close. You will see Modanna Mine on the left, keep driving until you see the second left side pull out (this is where you pull off and enter the gate) located between mile markers 204 & 203. You will see a single green gate that has a large white Private Property/No Trespassing sign. Once you pass thru please park on the left hand side in the gravel parking lot & walk down to the Lodge over the walking bridge.
