Bryce and I started working at the same hotel where I was temporarily Bryce's boss. We dicussed crazy adventures, wild thoughts, and connected on a deeper level. Over the years, we remained close friends. In 2017, our paths crossed again in San Diego, and our relationship quickly turned into more than a friendship. We talked on the phone constantly for 4+ hours about everything and anything and finally we made the decision to meet up for a first date. Bryce took our first date to a whole new level as our love story began in the vines in Napa, California. Given the long distance between Phoenix and Lake Tahoe, Bryce had to ask me out three times to get the final "yes." I knew Bryce was my one and only shortly after he left for a trip because it felt like a piece of me had left with him. Bringing us to 2019; we bought our first home, became Watson's humans, and declared that I was to become #NewlyNewman.

Bryce surprised me with a trip I will never forget! I did not know where we were going to until arriving to the airport. My instructions were to bring a passport, swimsuit, fancy attire, and warm clothes. We flew into San Francisco (A regular meeting point during our long distance dating) and had a memorable time. Bryce tried to throw me off by asking questions like, "How far is Santa Cruz? Is the traffic going to be bad this afternoon driving South out of the city?" but once we drove North over the Golden Gate I knew he was taking me to where it all began - Napa, California. We showed up to our favorite vineyard, Goosecross Cellars, and began our wine tasting. When the sun casted a gold hue over the vines (The Golden Hour), we took a walk in the vines to taste the second harvest. To my surprise, Bryce began telling a story of how he first said I love you. I immediately knew what was coming next. After he got down on one knee, I was so shocked and excited that I kept hugging and kissing him and never actually said yes. So after asking a second time, I said the four magic words...YES, I KNEW IT! Bryce and I are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in the vines!
