The best airport to fly into is RIC in Richmond, VA. It is also possible to fly to IAD or DCA in Washington, DC and drive but it will take at least 2 hours.
There are many nice places to stay in Richmond, but we recommend staying either close to the wedding venue or if you are looking for a trendier spot, check out Carytown, just check the distance to the wedding venue.
