It was early on in dating. Giddy on IPAs at Bandit Brewery, Brandon suggested we order an entire cheese plate. As dinner. Sarah enthusiastically agreed and stared at him intently the rest of night, knowing this dude was the dude. (Who else would be so keen to exist on just dairy, jams, and a spicy mustard for the next few hours?!) Seeing the way Sarah looked at him, Brandon quietly noted, "You've got some real bandit eyes going on right now." Since then, the phrase "bandit eyes" has taken on a new meaning. (It's more than just a raccoon peering out of a compost bin.) It's our nod to one another, and that feeling that you get- the way you can tell how someone feels about you just by looking at them. It is the way we sneak a peak at each other with such enthusiastic love, just waiting for the other to suggest that a plate of Gouda is an appropriate substitute for an entire meal.
