Sacramento is the closest at only an 1.5 hours from Chico. The next best options are San Francisco or Oakland which are 2.5 - 3 hours away. All have reasonable prices, and if you're wanting to extend your stay and do a little sight seeing, it is recommended to take advantage of the Bay Area and explore the beautiful California coast!
