Everyone has been there, a hot August day, a bunch of college freshman shoved into an auditorium being forced to participate in ice breakers to make new friends. Midway through the questions and tasks being asked of us the RA announced, "Turn to the person to your left and tie their shoe." I looked around the room, noticing that everyone, including myself, was wearing sandals. I ran around the room until I spotted the one guy wearing work boots and made a beeline for him. Out of breath I asked, "Can I tie your laces?" And the rest is history. Through college transfers, out of state moves, and miles of distance we stayed friends and now we are walking down the aisle. We share a love for being immersed in nature, whether it be on the water with rods in our hands, in a treestand with our bows or anywhere in between. Love is in the crisp, opening day, air!
