Matron of Honor
Brittany (Bam) and I met more than 15 years ago—on the highest of seven hills in Tallahassee, FL as college freshmen. Introduced by our other bestie and bridesmaid Adrianne, Brittany and I and have grown to be sisters through multiple life events and experiences. What I love most about her is how she listens to me ramble about fifty thousand things day or night, and how we have about 6 different communication threads about random things daily and how together we are thee most through and organized gals you will ever meet. Seven years ago Bam stood with me and had my BACK as my maid of honor, and I can’t wait to celebrate such a special moment in life with my sister-friend as her Matron of Honor. I look forward to having fun with the new extended Murray family.
Maid of Honor
I met Bam at FAMU orientation freshman year of college. We were randomly paired as roommates. I can remember inviting her to party with some other girls I met during orientation—to which she declined. However, once I returned from the evening's festivities, we stayed up chatting for hours about life, family, and so many random things. We bonded, both being from the Midwest with ties to Detroit. Our friendship blossomed over 15+ years with countless girls' trips, family gatherings, and support for one another during pivotal life events. As maid of honor, I am excited to support Bam as she unites with Tyree. They both love family, are about their business, but silly, fun, and always ready to toast to a good time. I look forward to honoring Brittany and Tyree's love on Valentine's Day 2021.
Bridesmaid
Brittany and I met in 2004 as FAMU SBI-ans more than 16 years ago. We started out as classmates and somehow our group of friends blossomed into a group of 11 girls. Then, she became my sister and has been ever since. I can’t even begin to nail down a favorite memory because any one you can name, we’ve got all of them…we’ve had some fun! What I love most about Bam is that she is hella funny. She keeps me laughing. She is super thoughtful and she’s definitely straight to the point…which I absolutely love. I can’t wait to stand by her as her Bridesmaid (Hey maid!)
Bridesmaid
I am so excited to be one Bam’s bridesmaids. I have known Bam since 2009, where we became sisters of The BA Chapter of AKA Sorority, Inc. We are unstoppable together, a force to be reckoned with, she is partner in crime, one of my best friends. One thing about BAM that I love is not only is she a rider, but her heart is sincere and pure! She is an amazing friend, a relationship that I cherish every day! I am thankful and grateful for our ups and downs because it made us stronger! I am so blessed that God brought Tyree in her life, because he treats her like a Queen! I knew he was the one when he went to 4 different stores to find aloe vera for our sunburns and finally went to Home Depot and just bought the plant! He has the preservation and endurance to make a relationship work!
Bridesmaid
Me and Bam's relationship is like none other! We met because we both lived in the same apartment complex. Aside from partying together and spending ridiculous amounts of money on dining out, Bam has always been a great friend, awesome listener, and one of the most organized people I know, example; she got engaged at the end of December and by February the entire wedding is already planned. Although I have my "BAM STOP OVERTHINKING" moments, honestly, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have a friend like her in my corner. She has been with me through some of my hardest and darkest times as well as some of my most joyous highlights of my life and I am super excited to be a part of one of the most remarkable moments of hers. Finally, my girl got her HUSBAND! that she always prayed for.
Man of Honor
Me and Rahsaan Tyree Murray met in middle school because of my lil brother! Our bond and friendship was formed solely thru sports! We would debate every sports topic like; who’s better between Iverson or Vince Carter, we would play sports all day or go swimming or do both! My favorite memories with Rashaan would have to the pool parties in high school! What I love about my boy is that is he’s loyal friend anything I need, he’s the first to make sure I’m ok and he truly has my best interest at heart! He challenges my every action and let’s me know when I’m wrong. As far as roles go, I’ll be the best man.
Groomsman
I met Rahsaan when he was in tenth grade. Him my brother Terrance became very good friends also, if my brother didn’t mention it in his groomsmen bio… I introduced them, so they owe their friendship to me too (LOL). Rahsaan is like a big brother to me, he has looked out for me on numerous occasions and supported all during my time in college. One of our favorite hobbies was when we played basketball growing up with the other kids on the block and from when we were younger, he would put on a arm sleeve and call himself Allen Iverson! He’s such a genuine, selfless person who helps light everyone around them. I’m turning UP in Jamaica as his groomsman!
Groomsman
I have known Tyree since 2009, where we met at AIU (American InterContinental University). We started a college club called M.E.A which stands for Music Entertainment and Arts. Our brotherhood developed over the years but the most impactful years I would say would be from 2009-2011. During those times Tyree and I have the college student struggle stories, the late parties, boat parties at Lake Lanier, even to arguments. We have similar interests in sports, lounges and our shared personal life goals. One of my favorite memories is when we were working in the File Room at AIU. Tyree has what I call the honesty trait and he always kept it real and transparent with me. My main role for the wedding will be keeping my bro from being so nervous! I look forward to being his Best Groomsman.
Groomsman
Tyree and I met nearly four years ago, through our mutual friend Mohamed. Over the years we have bonded by hanging with friends, our love for nice cars and traveling. My favorite memory of Tyree is hard to choose from, but a top memory would be when he first got the job, he had worked so hard for. Over the years his laid-back personality never changed. It was nice to see that although his status changed financially, his personality did not. He’s a humble friend and I look forward to standing beside him as a groomsman.
Groomsman
Tyree and I have been friends for 6 years. That is my brother and best friend for life. From the first time we met, Tyree has been a great friend and one of the realest most genuine people I know. He always goes out his way to help anybody and always looks out for your best interest. One of my most favorite times are our bros trips out the country and the unforgettable fun nights. I was with Tyree the night he met Bam. Who would have thought at the time that he was actually meeting his future wife? I am very happy for them both, that he has met his soulmate, and is embarking on this amazing journey in life with her. I will be one of the groomsmen during Tyree’s wedding and it’s an honor to be his side to celebrate this amazing day. May The One above bless him, Bam, and their union.
