I Love Doing Life With You

Most of you know our story, but we'll do a quick recap. We went to high school together, and our paths crossed often. We were friends. Gina and her mother even spent some holidays with the Plog family. After high school, we stayed in touch and had gotten quite close. Gina then made a massive mistake and introduced Bryan to MySpace, an early incarnation of the social media monster. Bryan met someone and eventually moved out of state. Bryan and Gina both got married to people who they had no business marrying; ask our families and close friends. Trust me. They all will tell you these unions were ill-advised! Fast forward to the good stuff! We emerged from our learning experiences and found our way back to each other. It started the day we met up for coffee at a local bookstore after getting back in touch. We found that we had been through similar experiences. We had a lot to talk about! And then we kept talking. We were both busy with hobbies, reconnecting with friends, and rebuilding our lives but it soon became clear that being together was important to us both. We started to travel together. Gina went back to school (AGAIN!) We switched jobs, moved back in with parents, and tried to re-imagine our lives. We moved into our first place together, weathered a global pandemic, and Gina (FINALLY) graduated. We continued to travel (including a week-long voyage out to California and back in a Toyota Camry), and then we bought a magical piece of land with a shell of a house just waiting to be loved and reclaimed. We named it Mayhem Mountain, and after a 9-month odyssey, we moved in on Labor Day weekend in 2023. A year later, on Sunset Beach in Cape May, Bryan popped the question, to which Gina responded, "Huh?" Another Hallmark moment ruined! On February 1st, in our backyard on Mayhem Mountain, we were married in an intimate ceremony. Our anniversary will provide a warm and bright point during the cold winter to celebrate, but since it is far more preferable for most people to gather and celebrate in warmer months, we will be celebrating on May 31st. We cannot wait to see you all and to share the joy of our marriage!

About This Party....

Just to set the mood, this is not going to be a traditional wedding reception. There will be music. There will be food. We will be renewing vows. But this is more like a party instead of a scripted wedding reception. We will be in an open-air pavilion. (It is wheelchair accessible.) Please come as you are. Want an excuse to wear a tuxedo or a ballgown? Fabulous! More comfortable in casual clothes? Excellent! We want everyone to be comfortable, because this is a celebration! Children are also welcome. We know that finding sitters or being away from your kids can be stressful for all involved, so let's not create any more stress. If you have questions about any of this, please contact Gina by phone or text at 845.430.5658. Come, eat, dance, sing, and enjoy!
