When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs must be submitted no later than 9/21/2024. You will not be able to RSVP after this date as our vendors have strict deadlines. If you do not RSVP by 9/21/2024, we will unfortunately have to mark you as a “no”. You will be missed and hopefully we will see you another time!

Will children be allowed?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adult-only occasion. We hope you understand and enjoy the night off!

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes, we do! While not required, gifts are always cherished and appreciated. Where are the Ceremony and Reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held on-site at Ewing Manor in Bloomington, IL. The ceremony will be held outside on the lawn and the reception will be held in the courtyard under a tent.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is cocktail attire. Gentlemen may wear a suit & tie, suit jackets, slacks, etc. Ladies may wear semi-formal or cocktail dresses, dress pants, blouses, etc. Kindly refrain from wearing jeans, t-shirts, and white dresses. Please keep in mind it may be a little chilly in mid-October. We will have heaters to keep you warm.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will promptly begin at 4:00 PM CT. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the ceremony to ensure a timely arrival.

Where do I park?

Answer

Parking is located at St. John's Lutheran Church just across the street from the pedestrian entrance of Ewing Manor at the corner of Emerson St. and Towanda Ave. It is unsafe to cross Emerson St. at any other location. Overnight parking is permitted in this lot. Address: 1617 Emerson St. Bloomington, IL 61701

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our hired photographer to be able to fully capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and don't forget to share them with us!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear next to your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, the drinks are on us and the hangover is on you--get ready to party! We will be providing an open bar for wine, beer, seltzers, liquor and soft drinks.

Am I allowed to Smoke?

Answer

Per venue policy, absolutely no smoking is permitted. All Ewing properties are smoke-free.

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
