In 2007, Jess and Joe both went off to Cornell University. Joe was quick to introduce himself to Jess after their freshman writing seminar on the very first day of class! They had their first "official" date at Ithaca’s Mahogany Grill. Careers led them to different cities and even continents but the Massachusetts natives at last settled together in sunny Charleston, South Carolina in 2018.

With Charleston known for its beautiful weather, what a better time to propose than a cold, windy, and rainy evening. Jess should have questioned Joe asking her to go on a walk, but she always jumps at an opportunity for an activity. Joe took a knee when they reached the end of a rarely deserted pier underneath the iconic Ravenel Bridge. Jess was quick to say "yes!" as they became drenched in tears and rain. Joe says all rain ;) We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Charleston!
