How do I get to the venue?
Answer
Follow google maps. Haha On the right side of the road as you are in a curve you will see a white sign with red lettering “Tejas steak house and saloon” with yellow lettering under that reads “steak and whiskey” and you’ll see a big water tank just past the entrance and a smaller white sign with black lettering “western sky” red lettering “entrance” with an arrow. Turn down that dirt road, past the rodeo, past the cattle/long horns, then you’ll see the venue on the right with a windmill out front. Park right out front. If your like me, hide in your car until you see someone you know then go talk to them and find a seat. Haha When you are looking at the building turn right and you’ll see a little wooden chapel, that’s where the ceremony will be.

What time should I get there?
Answer
Depends, are you habitually late? Then get there at 4:00pm. Ceremony will start at 5 so get there before 5 to find a seat. Don’t be trying to mess up our entrance, we only get to do this once.

What should I do if I arrive late?
Answer
Stay in your car until the ceremony starts and the bride has already walked down the aisle then try to sneak in the back row as if no one will notice your late arrival 😅

What do we do after the ceremony?
Answer
You will head to the back of the reception hall where you will have appetizers and beverages.

Where can I smoke?
Answer
There is a designated smoking section outside away from the reception hall. No smoking in the building. Do not leave your butts in the grass or on the ground.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Not at this time. There will be a cash bar available for those who wish to partake. If anything changes we will update here.

Will this be an indoor or outdoor event?
Answer
Both. The ceremony will be outdoors. The cocktail hour will also be outdoors, subject to change. The reception will be indoors with plenty of AC.

What is the attire?
Answer
Semi-formal. Cocktail dresses and a suit and tie are appropriate. Please keep in mind that it will be HOT.

Are blue jeans appropriate?
Answer
Yes. You can wear some blue jeans and dress it up with a nice button up, jacket, and a good pair of cowboy boots.

RSVP… how serious are you about that?
Answer
Dead. Dead serious. If you don’t RSVP, you don’t eat. So I guess how serious are you about food? It’s going to be delicious and you won’t want to miss out. Deadline is the June 23rd so make sure to mail them before then. They are pre stamped with the address and your name, all you have to do is check the appropriate box and write in the number. 😄

Pictures… can I take them?
Answer
We have a photographer and videographer. Please do not get in their way to take your own pictures. No pictures or videos during the ceremony. I promise yours will not be as good as the hired professionals 🫢 Feel free to take pictures during cocktail hour and reception! #SelfiesWelcome

Can we bring a gift to the wedding?
Answer
Yes. We will have a designated place for any gifts or cards if you choose to bring something the day of.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

RSVP to let us know. If there is a last minute change please reach out to let us know as soon as possible.

Are kids invited?
Answer
Yes. We will no longer have an on-site babysitter because each of you said you wouldn’t use one.

Can I bring a date?

We have planned for every “single” person over 18 to bring a guest. Please make sure you include them in your RSVP.
