Yes. There is a $30 fee per car to enter the park that can be paid at the gate. WE RECOMMEND CARPOOLING. Passes can be purchased ahead of time here: https://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/fees.htm

Question

When should we leave to arrive on time?

Answer

We recommend leaving Enumclaw at 1 pm. It takes about an hour to drive to Sunrise Point and there will most likely be a wait to get in. IT COSTS $30 PER CAR TO ENTER THE PARK.

Question

What should I bring to the ceremony?

Answer

Comfortable shoes Jacket/sweater Picnic lunch

Question

UNPLUGGED CEREMONY

Answer

An unplugged ceremony means to leave your phones, cameras and any other devices in the car or at home. We paid for a professional photographer to take photos during the ceremony and of us. Everyone will get an opportunity to be in a photo with the couple. Please be in the moment on our special day. You may take personal photos of the scenery at the park or during the reception.

Question

Leave no trace

Answer

Disbursement of flowers, rice, confetti, etc is strictly prohibited in the national park. Any garbage should be kept in the car to throw away later.

Question

Is hiking required to attend the ceremony?

Answer

No. The wedding ceremony will be held at an area that can be driven to. You may have to walk a short distance on a paved trail.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The attire is dressy casual. Look nice enough for a picture that will last a lifetime. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket/sweater.

Question

Are there restrooms at the wedding location?

Answer

NO. The closest restrooms are a 5-10 minute drive past the wedding location at Sunrise Park.

Question

What is the weather like that time of year?

Answer

Temperatures usually reach low to mid 70s in early September and could get chilly at night. There is a chance of smoke due to wildfires in the area. It does not rain as much in WA as you might think. The mountain can be cold, so bring a sweater/jacket to the ceremony if you tend to get cold easily.

Question

What are the plans if it rains?

Answer

We are having the wedding in rain or shine! If it's raining, be prepared.

Question

Will there be food and drinks at the reception?

Answer

Yes. Tacos and margs

For all the days along the way
