Dear Friends and Family, Thank you for your patience as we worked through our updated wedding plans – we hope you are all safe and well! We are so excited to have you join us on Friday, August 13th for a belated reception to celebrate our marriage. The 13th of the month means a lot to us – we got engaged on Friday, September 13, 2019 and were married on Monday, July 13th, 2020 – and now we can’t wait to host our reception on our 13-month anniversary! We know there is still an ongoing pandemic and want everyone to be healthy and safe, but here’s to hoping for the best and getting something on the books to look forward to. More details to come! Xoxo, The Baldwins
Erin and Michael have known each other for more than 10 years and first met during freshman year at East Lake High in Florida. Erin quickly became friends with the Baldwin Twins, Michael and Nick, bonding with Michael during her stint in color guard while he was on the drum line. Erin and Michael “dated” for five whole days when they were 15, which basically meant holding hands in the hallway. After the dramatic breakup before first period, by the end of that day they were already laughing and remained close the rest of high school. Michael went off to Duke University in Durham, NC while Erin attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, where sadly they lost touch throughout college. But life works in awesome ways. One night after college graduation, Erin and her sister Allison were out at LBC back home in Palm Harbor and saw on Snapchat that the Baldwin Twins were in town. It had been ages since they’d all hung out, so Allison convinced Erin to message them and see if they wanted to join them at the bar. Michael immediately responded saying “Seriously?! We’ll be there.” It was truly love at first reunion once Michael arrived. They hit it off again right away and it was like no time had passed. Michael and Erin went on a date the next night and spent four days inseparable before he went to San Jose, CA for an internship. Erin visited him in Cali, where they became official on July 20, 2016. After a year of long distance while Michael finished his Masters at Duke and Erin moved to NYC for work, Michael accepted a job in New Jersey and the two have been inseparable since! Michael and Erin love splitting their time between Manhattan and New Jersey. Their daily adventures together, whether it's eating at their fave Italian restaurant, cheering on the Gators or Blue Devils during a game, exploring the city, or simply binging another new show, are so much fun and better with each other by their sides.
After asking for the Wronka family blessing in June 2019, Michael zeroed in on proposing to Erin during the weekend of September 13th, 2019, when he knew her family would be in NYC for a previously planned Backstreet Boys concert (classic Wronka sisters!). He even invited his whole family to be there for the celebration after the official engagement. Michael planned to go to Liberty State Park with Erin and propose next to the NYC skyline at sunset. The hardest part was getting Erin there without tipping her off, but this ended up being really easy because Erin had a very busy, distracting day of work leading up to what would be her engagement. She didn't even question Michael when he suggested checking out Liberty State Park that night because her brother in law Tony "got a new camera lens and wanted to try it out on the skyline." Erin happily met up with Michael, Tony and her sisters Jenn and Allison in Jersey City and assumed they were just going to enjoy some wine at the park and take some cute photos. They ended up arriving at Liberty State Park after the sunset, but the skyline was still glowing and beautiful and made for the perfect photograph. Michael finally convinced Erin to take a picture with him, during which he took the ring out of his back pocket and Erin squealed "What are you doing?!" Michael forgot his speech but Erin was already screaming "Of course!" before he could actually ask if she'd marry him. Cue the global pandemic, and even though the original wedding plans didn't go as planned (shout out to October 3, 2020!), Michael and Erin got married in Tampa on Monday, July 13, 2020 and celebrated with immediate family. The day was truly magical, masks and all, and 100+ people joined on Zoom to watch the ceremony - it was the best Monday ever! Now Michael and Erin are thrilled to continue the party with Part 2 on August 13, 2021!
