Daijahnae and Marcus experience great joy when sharing their love story, as they met in such a unique way. Daijahnae, an Ohio native and Marcus, an Alabama native; who would have ever thought they would cross paths. Thanks to basketball, friends, and undeniable eye contact, a perfect match was made. On February 19, 2022, Marcus and Daijahnae both found themselves at the same weekend festivities for the NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, Ohio. Depending on who tells the story, you'll learn that one person was caught starring across the room at the other. The moment they locked eyes, they felt interested in getting to know each other. Marcus was the courageous one who approached Daijahnae, and that one hello turned into hours of conversation. The next day Marcus was headed back to Alabama and Daijahnae would remain in Cleveland. But they did not let this stop them. They talked EVERY day from that point on. It went from FaceTime to vacations together, to meeting one another's parents within six months. They soon discovered long distance couldn't be forever and they made the life-changing decision to relocate to Dallas, Texas together. It has now been 4 years since they've met and their love grows stronger for one another each day.
