The Asheville Regional Airport in Asheville, North Carolina is approximately an 1.5 hour drive to the venue in Sky Valley, Georgia. This is the closest and easiest airport to Sky Valley with affordable flights through Allegiant Air, as well as many other major airlines. Flying into Asheville gives you the opportunity to visit the city before heading to Sky Valley. This drive will be shorter, have less traffic, and be more of a relaxing, mountain drive. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

The Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia is approximately a 2 hour drive to the venue in Sky Valley, Georgia. This airport is the largest in the country with affordable flights through all major airlines. Flying into Atlanta will provide you the opportunity to see the city before heading to Sky Valley. AirBNB or VRBO

AirBNB & VRBO are the only way to get accommodations within the city of Sky Valley. These accommodations are also available in the surrounding areas. These rentals are going to be best for groups, multiple families, or those looking for full home accommodations with a kitchen & multiple bedrooms. Most rentals in Sky Valley will be within a few miles of the venue. With that said, please keep in mind that these homes are in the mountains and are not recommended for drivers who are not comfortable with steep hills and sharp turns. Also keep in mind that some homes may have limited parking and/or steep driveways that may required 4-wheel drive. Please discuss accessibility to the home with owners before renting.

The Gateway Inn & Suites is where we recommend our guests to stay. Should you want to stay in hotel, in our opinion The Gateway Inn & Suites is the most affordable, comfortable & clean accommodation in the area. We recommend this hotel for couples & single families or those who don't want the hassle of a full home rental. The Gateway Inn is just down the mountain from Sky Valley. Hotel features include a heated indoor pool, continental breakfast, and free parking.

The Dillard House Inn

The Dillard House is a popular destination in Dillard, Georgia and is an inn, working farm, & restaurant. This inn features many different accommodations that vary in price and range from a standard hotel room to fireplace suites and full mountain cabins. All rooms have mountain & valley views and rocking chairs to enjoy the views. The Dillard House restaurant is within walking distance of all accommodations, as well as the horse stables where you can take trail and river rides, the petting zoo, and the many other activities The Dillard House has to offer. We recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a more authentic, mountain vacation with amenities available on-site.

Travel Note

Traveling to Sky Valley, Georgia

Traveling to Sky Valley will include both a flight and car rental, as the drive from either airport is over 1.5 hours. We recommend renting a car prior to arrival. For the Asheville Airport, car rental is quick and easy as the airport is quite small. For the Atlanta Airport, the Rental Car Center is a tram ride away, so please keep in mind the time it will take you to pick up & drop off your car before renting & booking flights.
