What should I wear?

Question

What precautions will be taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Answer

Our church caps attendance at one-third capacity and requires socially-distanced seating between family units. Masks must be worn at all times, except during the distribution of the Eucharist. Guests are welcome to bring homemade masks or wear a mask provided on site. Our reception will take place under a large outdoor tent on sprawling property. In accordance with state regulations, each family unit must occupy separate tables spaced six feet apart (e.g. couples will have a table for two). Masks must be worn while walking through the tent or visiting the indoor restrooms but can be removed during the dining experience and when walking on the grounds — if a six-foot distance is maintained. The venue's waitstaff will wear masks and distribute all food; there will be no buffets or communal display stations. We respectfully ask all guests to remain six feet from the bride and groom and all other guests unless a closer arrangement is mutually agreed upon.

Question

Will a socially-distanced wedding be any fun at all?

Answer

Heck yes it will. You will be able to explore the beautiful gardens and mansion of Meadow Brook, dance with family or friends under a gorgeous, airy tent, and play a variety of yard games (disinfected between rounds) scattered throughout the property. Think of it as a fun outing with free dinner.
