Unknown to most, our first encounter was in a computer lab in the science center at Washington and Lee. After attempting to print a much needed article multiple times without success, I walked over to the only other person in the lab to ask if the printers were working. Sean, clearly not phased by my romantic gesture, simply said "not sure" and continued on with his day. Needless to say the next time we met Sean was a little more taken with my charm (could've also been the daze of Spring Break) and we've been together ever since.
While visiting Lynchburg for Christmas, Sean convinced me to go to Richmond for a fun night out as his Christmas present for me wasn't going to arrive in time for the holiday. While on our way to the hotel he said he booked, he sneakily changed the directions towards The Jefferson Hotel, which is one of the most gorgeous hotels imaginable. Slightly ruining his surprise, when we went to check in the staff apologized that the roses were not yet in the room. After exploring some of our favorite spots in Richmond (and sipping on some flights at a local brewery) we returned to find champagne and roses waiting. Sean proposed and we spent the night enjoying good wine and food.
