We met in Tri 2 of chiropractic school—not exactly the most romantic setting, but fate always finds a way. If you ask Dustin, his first impression of Amanda wasn’t great. Honestly? He thought she was a little mean. If you ask Amanda, she’ll admit her competitive side was in overdrive—and yes, she may or may not have been quietly jealous of Dustin’s natural talent for adjusting. He made it look so easy, and she couldn’t stand that (at least not at first). But life has a way of softening edges. Fast forward to a 13-hour car ride from Dallas, Texas to Davenport, Iowa. Four chiropractic students crammed into one car, with nowhere to hide from small talk, road trip playlists, or each other. Somewhere between gas station snacks and hours of conversation, something shifted. The walls came down. For the first time, Amanda saw past the “overly laid-back guy ” and Dustin saw past the competitive exterior to the heart of someone kind and driven. It was the beginning of something neither of us expected—but both of us needed. From there, our story unfolded in the most ordinary yet extraordinary ways. We were always side by side, encouraged each other through exams and boards, and became each other’s safe place when the weight of school and sometimes life, felt overwhelming. We laughed through the exhaustion, celebrated every small and big victory, and learned what it meant to show up for each other in the messiness of life. Love didn’t take its time with us—it swept in quickly and completely. What started with a long car ride and a late-night conversations turned into something undeniable. We didn’t have to wonder or second guess; it was clear from the start. Falling for each other felt natural, effortless, and like the most certain thing in the world. After graduation, we packed up our dreams—and our two dogs, Hans and Woody—and headed to Arizona. We built a business together, rooted ourselves in a new community, and discovered that the same teamwork that carried us through school was the foundation for our life. Together, we’ve built not just a home and a practice, but a rhythm of love, laughter, growth, and purpose. Now, we’re stepping into the next chapter: marriage. To us, this isn’t just about a wedding day—it’s about honoring the journey that brought us here, the challenges that shaped us, and the deep, enduring love that has carried us through it all. We can’t wait to celebrate this moment with the people who’ve supported us, laughed with us, and believed in us every step of the way.
