Best Man
Brad & Aaron have been dear friends for well over a decade. It all started when Aaron set foot on the campus of The University of Georgia and had no idea what college football was all about. The young cricket loving boy from India was now immersed in a sea of RED & BLACK and Brad was responsible for that transformation to a Georgia Bulldawg crazy fan. Go Dawgs!!!
Groomsman
Ben was the first friend that Aaron made when he was at UGA. That first conversation over breakfast during orientation led to a friendship that grew over the years and continues to this day. Ben who lives in NJ and works in New York City also fellowships at the church Aaron attends- Princeton Alliance Church.
Groomsman
Milan is a dear friend of Aaron from their days at UGA. They met during a India Culture Exchange meeting on campus and their bond of friendship was formed then. Aaron was a groomsman at Milan's wedding 2 years ago and now they get to switch places. The quartet of Brad, Ben, Milan & Aaron call themselves the Fantastic Four and their group chat can get quite animated during football season.
Groomsman
Jimmy is a dear friend of Aaron's from New Jersey. Aaron first met Jimmy at church and they both were actively involved in their young adults community. Through the years they both helped each other along in their spiritual walk. Jimmy & Aaron both followed wrestling ( WWE ) during their childhood days and that strengthened their bond of friendship.
Groomsman
Aaron & Alvin's friendship goes back to the days when they were in the same young adults bible study. Alvin now lives in Ghana but they have always kept in touch irrespective of the distance that has separated them. Alvin used to study and live in Philadelphia for a few years and he considers Philly as one of his top cities of the world. Katie lives in Philadelphia and she would agree with Alvin's assessment.
Groomsman
Paul attends Princeton Alliance Church and he serves in young adults ministry along with Aaron. Apart from being a good friend, Paul is an exceptionally good cook. Paul & Aaron have spent numerous days cooking together- Paul doing most of the cooking and Aaron doing most of the tasting.
Groomsman
Aaron met Rafik through the young adults fellowship at Princeton Alliance Church. In the past couple of years, their bond of friendship has grown stronger through their conversations on their Christian walk and work-life balance. His family prepares a wicked jalapeƱo bread which everyone must try.
Matron of Honor
Molly is Katie's younger sister and best friend. She is a fantastic listener and her strong faith is contagious. Molly inspires everyone around her with her big heart for social justice, trafficking victims, and educational equity. She has a great eye for making things beautiful and she and her husband Jimi are phenomenal hosts. She gives great advice and is wise beyond her years. Katie has been blessed to go to UD together, be housemates with Molly her first 4 years in Philadelphia, and now only live 1/2 a mile apart. They work across the street from one another and love going to church together at Spirit & Truth Fellowship Church.
Matron of Honor
Though Annie is 6 years younger than Katie she has always been a best friend not just a sister. Annie is full of fun, joy, and laughter. Annie has such strong faith and can always be found singing--it's like living with a Disney princess. She is always up for an adventure and loves being outside like Katie so they've made many memories during hikes in the woods and beach trips. She's also a University of Delaware grad and might even love ice cream and coffee as much as Katie. Even though she and her husband Spencer have moved to North Carolina, she is incredibly intentional and makes time for family as well as for friends old & new. Now Aaron & Katie have a fun destination to visit :)
Bridesmaid
Molly and Katie met on their freshmen year dorm floor at the University of Delaware. They studied late into the night for biology and chemistry together and were both nursing majors. Molly was also a leader in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and was a Russell Fellow for the Honors Program with her. So many of Katie's college experiences and memories had Molly by her side. Molly has an infectious laugh and is full of joy. She has lived in Baltimore since graduation with her husband Chris and adorable son Charlie. Molly's love for God continues to encourage Katie.
Bridesmaid
Jess and Katie met at The University of Delaware and were nursing majors and in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship together. Jess and her husband Levi and adorable dog Luna live in Baltimore, like Molly. They sadly didn't succumb to Katie's frequent begging to move to Philadelphia -- the best city in the world :) Katie was thrilled when Jess attended Drexel University to become a pediatric nurse practitioner and they saw each other more often. Jess loves her family deeply, has a compassionate heart, and is extremely creative --making works of beauty with a sewing machine. Jess traveled to India with Katie to provide medical care for the Delhi Bible Institute community and the experience of traveling and serving together only deepened their friendship, faith, and love for India.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Diane were college roommates and then lived together in an apartment after graduation from The University of Delaware. Diane and Katie loved to sip tea in chairs side by side and talk about their days. Katie has the nickname of Calamity Kate and Diane was present to laugh about some of those funny moments including falling out of her lofted bed. They were leaders in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship together and were able to encourage one another in their faith. Diane is very purposeful in everything she does and is a woman of integrity and character. Diane also loves Anne of Green Gables, Pride & Prejudice, & Little Women, so Katie quickly found a kindred spirit. She and her husband Eric and their cutie dog Parker are excellent hosts during visits to Delaware.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and her husband Uriah are friends of Katie's from Cornerstone's youth group. They really bonded as they worked at Christiana Hospital as nurses and were able to support one another in the emotionally/physically/spiritually exhausting work of being an ER and cancer nurse. They share a love for Jesus, sipping lattes, watching episodes of Avonlea, going on and walks and adventures near cliffs, and searching for beautiful blue pottery. Katie has felt like an auntie to Rachel & Uriah's kids Gabe & Meg who she has been able to have the joy of seeing grow up (they will be her flower girl and ring bearer) and Uriah is the guitarist and one of the singers in the ceremony.
Bridesmaid
Aaron's sister has quickly become a close friend to Katie, and Katie can't wait to gain another sister. Rumela is a foodie like Katie, so she's loved having someone to introduce her to delicious places to eat in NYC. When Katie arrived in India to be a part of Rumela & Sam's wedding festivities, she greeted Katie with tears in her eyes and was as a stealthy and misty-eyed viodegrapher during Aaron's proposal to Katie. These sisters-to-be share the trait of being quick to cry tears of joy :) Aaron & Rumela have always been very close ever since childhood and now Katie is equally grateful to know have such a sweet, soft-hearted, loving, thoughtful, and fun woman of faith for the years to come :) PTNOJ!
