Kerry and Casey met on Hinge (the app designed to be deleted) in January, 2022. They went to a coffee shop for their first date. Kerry was very nervous, drank way too much coffee, remarking at how tall Casey was, and kept quiet trying to remain calm. Casey was in awe at how calm and cool Kerry was and thought the conversation was amazing. At the time, they had both been living in the DC area for almost 5 years and it turned out they’d been in the same campaign all along--just waiting for the initiative order to bring them together. Kerry brought Casey to his first D&D game that spring and introduced him to her nerd-family. Casey was right at home and took in D&D with open arms. Casey got along with Kerry's cats, Remmy and Moose, but truly missed having his own dog in his life. In June of that year, Casey and Kerry went to a local animal shelter's adoption event--just to look! And a couple of hours later, Casey went home with Poppi. That following fall, they knew it was meant to be. And a few months later, Casey got a new job in Boston. It was going to be hard to leave their friends, family, and the life they built. However, they knew that this was an opportunity they couldn't give up and took the plunge. They now call Boston their home and have been there for almost three years. In June, 2025 Casey proposed to Kerry on the Charles River Esplanade. They've been through numerous haircuts, travelling, job changes, tattoos, sports injuries, vet appointments, and concerts. One thing is for sure, they know they'll always be there for each other.
