On a crisp Saturday morning, I awoke with no desire to work on what was supposed to be a day of rest. Exhausted in my purple overalls, bright red hoodie, and work boots, with my purple-dyed hair in disarray, I made my way to the porch. As I approached, I overheard introductions, and the name “Baker” stood out to me, a name I wouldn’t forget. Later that day, I came to your worksite to discuss the ramp project. The moment I stepped onto that ramp and our eyes met, it felt as though time itself paused. It was as if God had orchestrated this divine meeting, and the world waited for us to come together. In that sacred moment, I felt certain that every step of my life had been guided to lead me to you.

Sitting in a rocking chair on a cold March morning, having barely slept because they don't make bunk beds tall enough, I recall watching Mollie June walk across the porch of that ASP building, clearly annoyed to be up so early on a Saturday. As we interacted on the trip, we became friends and eventually went our separate ways. Over the following month, I came to realize that we seemed like two pieces cut from the same cloth. Even though we never lived in the same state (my bad), I have never experienced God's love through another person as profoundly as I have through her—unceasing and boundless. After many miles and a lot of gas, I'm grateful that we are finally getting to spend forever together : )
