Horses define the charm of Lexington. Fortunately, during the weeks of April 4-25th, the weekly horse races will be ongoing. Entrance to Keeneland is free; though expect large crowds and competitive seating. Take in the food, drinks, and small-stakes gambling in one of Lexington’s most well-known staples.
If horses are one marker of Lexington, bourbon marks the larger Kentucky area. Local fan-favorites include the Lexington Brewing Company, Woodford Reserve in nearby Versailles, and James E Pepper. A small drive away are Four Roses, Castle & Key, and Buffalo Trace.
Lexington Sporting Club has a semi-pro Women’s Soccer team that is hosting home matches on April 16 and April 19.
Experience the fun of food trucks, large arcade room, duckpin bowling, good coffee, and better food at the revamped Distillery District on the west side of town.
The following day is Good Friday. Get your praise on at one of Lexington’s many churches. You are welcome to attend service with us!
