This is one of our favorites that has spectacular views of the ski resort and the rest of the valley. You cannot park at the trailhead, but you can take the East Vail bus from Vail Village to the Booth Falls stop, and it'll drop you right down the hill from the trailhead. Don't forget to bring water and a snack!
This is the well known (and difficult!) trail that winds up the ski resort and ends at the Eagles Nest lodge. You can start in Lionshead at the base of Berrypicker (behind Eagle Bahn Gondola) or in Vail Village at the base of Strawberry Lane (behind Gondola One), which will link up with Berrypicker halfway up. Either way, the trail is about 4 miles to the top, with ~2,100 feet of elevation gain. You can either hike or ride the gondola down.
Hanging Lake is located about an hour outside of Vail. This is a difficult, 1.2 mile hike but the views at the end are gorgeous. Keep in mind that you need a reservation to hike at Hanging Lake due to its popularity and will need a car to get there from Vail Village.
Adventure Ridge is located at the top of Vail Mountain, and offers activities (and views) for everyone! The Forest Flying Mountain Coaster is a favorite.
See how much farther your ball goes at altitude (it's about 10%)!
The Vail Village farmer's market (open Sundays during the summer) is a favorite, featuring local food and other goodies.
Great food and drinks with a wonderful atmosphere on the creek in Vail Village.
This is a very popular and well known fine dining restaurant in Vail. Romantic and fancy ambiance, with delicious food. Modern American cuisine. If you're looking for a special dining experience, this is a restaurant you should try!
Enjoy delicious food at this upscale Japanese & Sushi restaurant in Vail Village. Reservations and recommended!
Casual Vail Village staple near the gondola with bar food and drinks.
Just past the covered bridge, this is a favorite spot for espresso martinis and other cocktails.
A favorite spot for cheese, wine and great vibes.
