we're getting married!

Scott and Elizabeth met working on the ropes course at Camp Sambica in June 2024. They instantly hit it off and kept laughing together. Elizabeth was returning to work at the camp for her fourth summer, and it was Scott's first summer, so he asked her many questions on how to best learn his role. Four days after they met, Scott asked Elizabeth out and she said yes. They spent the whole summer pursuing one another; building a friendship during the week, and every Saturday they would go on a date. They asked each other hundreds of questions, ranging from silly to serious, getting to know one another with an intentional mindset. When the summer was coming to an end, they took a long day trip down to Elizabeth's parent's house in Oregon, where Scott asked her parents and brother for permission to date her. The next day, he asked her to be his girlfriend in the same place that he took her on their first date. Fast forward one year and a few days, Scott proposed to Elizabeth on the same dock that he took her swing dancing on for their first date, and the same spot where he asked her to be his girlfriend. And now, they are so excited to start this new chapter of their lives together, tying the knot surrounded by the people they love the most.
