If you ask Bailey... "I've always known who Dylan was, he claims he always knew who I was but I doubt he really did. Dylan was still new to Mortimer Jordan when I started high school eight years ago. I couldn't miss those big blue eyes passing me in the hall or playing out on the baseball field. I remember having a HUGE crush on him & then losing all hope when he started dating the girl next door. It wasn't until June 20th, 2020 when Dylan and his boss David came to eat at On Tap, where I worked, that I FINALLY caught his attention. I had gone to the table to refill their drinks & clear the table when I heard David say, "Hey Bailey, have you met Dylan?" without skipping a beat & barely looking up from his phone Dylan said, "We went to school together David." Again, ALL HOPE WAS LOST. I thought so anyways... Dylan ended up texting me later that night asking me to come hangout with him, I did of course & now here we are. I waited almost 8 years for him to notice me & it was so worth it! I'm so excited for forever with him." If you ask Dylan... "I have known who Bailey was since day one. I knew who the girl I passed in the hallway was, no question about it. It took 8 years for me to finally talk to the girl I saw cheering on Friday nights or at school almost daily. I never thought she would even respond to my text that fateful night, much less that it would lead to the happiest I have ever been in my life. This wonderful and amazing woman has opened my eyes to so many things and I can not wait to spend every day of the rest of our lives making new memories... and most importantly making up for the 8 years we missed out on together."
On December 23, 2020 a mutual friend and photographer Bailey Hyde messaged me on Facebook explaining that she had a super awesome idea for a Christmas Eve shoot at Black Creek Park & that the original couple had cancelled. She explained that it would be out over in the wooded area at 11am & to bring a bottle of champagne, I couldn't say no!! Dylan & I got up on Christmas Eve, got dressed & headed over to Black Creek Park... running late of course. We came up on a cute little rug with candles and a big wooden arch. It was BEAUTIFUL! The morning started off to a rough start with the weather being at a whopping 30 degrees and the wind blowing too hard to light candles & repeatedly knocking the wooded arch down. I'm sure poor Dylan & Bailey, our photographer, thought the proposal was falling apart but WOW it couldn't have been more perfect. She had us posing as she normally did, holding hands, hugging, kissing & giggling. Next she had me stand next to Dylan & had us look opposite of each other. It was then that Dylan pulled the ring from his pocket & slipped down to one knee. I could barely hear him asking me to marry him over the scream I let out & the excitement in my mind propelling me to cloud nine. The freezing weather suddenly didn't seem so cold wrapped up in the warm embrace of MY FUTURE HUBBY! I still cant believe it!!! WERE GETTING MARRIED!
