We met at NC State. Zack was a swimmer and I was a diver. I remember introducing myself to Zack at one of the first parties of the year. Zack later told me that he could hear me coming from a mile away (lol I'm a bit loud). It wasn't until that spring that Carol told me Zack had a crush on me. We started talking and after some nudging (and coaching on how to flirt) from my roommate Roz we started dating! From falling off of chairs into paint buckets on the second date to midnight Wendy's runs, I knew Zack was forever.
Zack did his research and found the perfect spot to pop the question at Forsythe Park in Savannah, GA. Zack had it all planned out, but then the time came and he struggled to piece words together - the only words he could find as he knelt down were, “so you wanna do it?” ...and surprise! Bailey said YES!!!
We have so much to look forward to as we enter into this new season of life together. Our faith and family are the foundation on which we will build our future together. We are looking forward to sharing some major milestones together and maybe doing a bit of traveling along the way. Zack is most excited to buy our first home. He cannot wait to have a lawn of his own, a grass landing strip out back, and a large garden. Bailey is excited to find her professional home at a family or pediatric dental practice after residency. We are both very much looking forward to starting a (maybe not so little) family of our own. Anyone who knows Bailey, knows that she absolutely loves children and it didn't take long before Zack caught a case of the baby fever too. Despite all of our plans and expectations, we know that ultimately, whatever plans the Lord has for us are perfect. We pray that His will is done in our lives and that our marriage will ultimately be used to glorify Him.
