FAQs

The Wedding Website of Bailey Morris and Tyler Thomas
If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to either one of us through text or call! We'd love to talk to you.
Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable but also want the vibe and pictures to feel concise. We are asking for Semi-Formal or Dressy Casual! Jeans are totally fine. The bridal party is wearing navy blue and variations of blue. The bride is wearing white/ivory. Please try to avoid wearing these as a solid color. Keep in mind, a KY October will be around 70 degrees and will drop at night.

Question

How do we RSVP?

Answer

There is an RSVP section on this website! Click the header and then type in your first and last name. If you're on the guest list, you will be able to RSVP. Please only RSVP if you are 100% planning on attending. The deadline is August 1st, 2024.

Question

When & how did y'all first meet?

Answer

We met through mutual friends around 15-16 years ago. We never truly connected as good friends until around 2018, and then in the summer of 2020 we couldn't resist getting closer. We started dating September 12th, 2020. We got engaged November 17th, 2022.

Question

Are children allowed at your wedding?

Answer

Great question! Even though we adore children, please only RSVP your children if you are immediate family. They will already be specified on your RSVP list.

Question

Where was your first date together?

Answer

Technically, the Sonic drive-through, I love their tater tots. But, our first REAL date was at the Summit at Fritz Farm for a shopping trip and then Tyler drove us to Stanford Drive In to watch The NeverEnding Story.

Question

What is y'alls favorite thing to do together?

Answer

We love to do lots of things together. We love to go fishing, hiking, shopping, eating good food, watching movies, playing video games, being outside, and traveling. Our favorite is definitely traveling.

Question

Where is the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

They're both at Hawks Nest. The ceremony will be behind the barn and the reception will be inside the barn. If there's rain, we will move the ceremony into the barn. We're getting married rain or shine!

Question

What is y'alls favorite restaurant in town?

Answer

Storming Crab. We are seafood lovers and they have the best options and flavors!

Question

What's on the Menu?

Answer

BBQ! We have Dixie Dawg BBQ catering our wedding. We will be having: - Chopped Brisket - Pulled Chicken - Mac-N-Cheese - Loaded Mashed Potatoes - Green Beans For Cocktail Hour: - Smoked Bologna Bites - Fruits

Question

Will we be able to park at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Hawks Nest has a huge fenced in field where you will be able to park. It is right next to the barn. There will be parking attendants who will guide you through the lot and let you know where to park. There will be signs to guide you as well.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know if you need any further accommodations. We want you to be there without worry.

Question

Are there reserved/blocked hotel rooms for guests?

Answer

Unfortunately we were not allowed to block out hotel rooms for our wedding due to the Keeneland 2024 Fall Race Meet. However, there are many rooms available at hotels! You will just have to book them yourself. There are recommended hotels in our 'travel' section on this website. We do suggest that you book as early as possible if you are planning on coming.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

While we would love everyone to be present, we do have a strict guest maximum for the venue. If you receive an invitation, you should be able to RSVP yourself. However, if a plus one is not specified on the guest list, you will not be able to RSVP nor bring one with you. We recommend coming along with a group of friends or family that you also know are attending! We would love to see you and we will still have an amazing time together! Thank you for understanding.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

No. We will be providing a bar service for our wedding but it will not be an open bar. There will be a couple options for beer and a signature cocktail. There will be a limit per guest on the cocktail. There will be a variety of non-alcoholic drinks such as soda, water, and lemonade in which guests can help themselves.

Question

When should I plan to arrive at the venue?

Answer

Guests will be able to arrive at the venue as early as 3:30 pm. There will be many people attending and arriving at the same time. Guests will be able to walk to the ceremony spot as soon as they arrive and park safely. We recommend sitting down for the ceremony around 3:45 pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 pm.
